Last week our very own Momentum South West Founder and Director, Rachael Howourth, was lucky enough to partner up with a brilliant client of ours, Georgie Mann, Director of Green Hat People, to deliver a high impact sales conference at the stunning Quay Hotel in Conwy, North Wales.

The UK sales conference was held for the unique, Urban Planters, a company who supply stunning plant displays that transform and improve offices and workplaces into healthy and beautiful environments. Passionate about delivering a premium service, Urban Planters have been delivering real benefits for the last 50 years through imaginative landscapes that improve air quality, reduce stress, improve mental well-being and deliver a happy working environment.
A glimpse of our day…
Using tablets to support the learning and collaboration during the day, a diverse mix of management, sales teams and franchisees were sat in teams of 6 and were facilitated through challenges involving sales-related content, as well as puzzles, breakout challenges, photo challenges and the sharing of best practise. It was lots of fun as well as providing a mix of learning, best practise sharing and thoughtful reflection.
The content that Rachael delivered focused ona consultative sales approach, highlighting the importance of creating honest, transparent relationships with customers, whilst reinforcingthat the customer experience should continue to be at the heart of everything that the team at Urban Planters do.
The Managing Directors of Urban Planters gave some fantastic feedback,
“Thank you for such an engaging day, the team have thoroughly enjoyed it” – Rory Waterer
“It was an enlightening day with lots of takeaways for us to digest.” – Thomas Palfreyman
Carole Milligan, Sales Manager North West also said, “we loved how Rachael Howourth just gets it. A superb, motivational day.”
The day after the conference, the Urban Planters team climbed Mount Snowdon to raise money for the Anthony Nolan Charity and Sheffield Hospital for one of the Urban Planters team who is currently undergoing a stem cell transplant to beat Acute Myeloid Leukaemia. They’ve raised over an incredible £10,700 so far.
Rachael and the team at Momentum South West are really proud to have been involved in such an inspiring day, uniting with local businesses to deliver a highly effective and highly active conference. We were able to collaborate with one of our fantastic clients, Green Hat People anddeliver a technology-focused event, which supported learning and helped to motivate the inspiring team at Urban Planters to climb a mountain! Huge congratulations on your success so far, Urban Planters.
So, What’s Next?
We are now collaborating with Green Hat People on another exciting new project delivering customisable ‘Sales Kick-Off Meetings’ to support corporate businesses when rolling out new sales campaigns. Together, Rachael and Georgie have recognised that the out dated and old-fashioned PowerPoint slides do not reach the levels of engagement needed to drive motivation and success, so we want to push boundaries and innovate the way that businesses learn with exciting new tools and ideas…
